Mongchon Moat
A lake 1.8 km around, built on traces of the Baekje-era moat of Mongchon Fortress — now a haven for rare wildlife in the city.
1988 Olympic legacy
Excavations in 1983, before the Olympic Park was built, uncovered traces of the ancient moat — the lake was designed from them.
